Michael Bastian Fall 2015 Review

If you are like me and closely follow the collections presented during fashion week season after season, year after year, then there is likely a designer or two whom you just can't wait to see send their first look down the catwalk. And like me, as you anxiously wait for the collection to be presented, you hope, wish, and pray that the designer doesn't stray too far from what it is that do so well and that you adore so much.

For me, Michael Bastian is one such designer. Over the years I've sung my adoration and affection for Michael's work as he's steadily become one of the best luxury American sportswear designers thus far. So I'll keep it short and sweet. Everything that you'd desire from a Michael Bastian fall collection is there. Its a Manhattan meets Vermont, preppy meets woodsy collection with just enough of a nostalgic vibe to ensure that one day long into the future your well-heeled kids will covet these pieces from your closet.

And the novelty sweaters that have recently been bringing Michael's brand to a wider audience are smartly here again (Did you see Russell Tovey sporting a Gant x Michael Bastian Jimmy crewneck on last weeks episode of Looking?). Of note is a "Hug Me" pullover that will be a fast hit, and also appropriately expresses a sentiment that I'm sure I'm not alone in having when I see Michael or his work.

Your entire fall wardrobe is included in the Bastian Fall collection, if you are so chicly inclined.
